I was born in Mykolaiv, Ukraine, and trained as an architect in Kyiv before becoming a full-time painter. My work returns again and again to the same subject: the female body as a symbol of the tension between the conscious mind and everything moving beneath it — restraint against desire, control against instinct. I work across oil, pencil, and watercolor, letting each medium set its own pace: oil for something slow and deliberate, pencil for something quicker and more direct. That same tension drives Iter Affectum, an installation I'm currently developing that combines painting, projection, and sound to explore how emotional connection gets lost — and searched for — in a digital world.
